Sunday Alcohol Sales....story continues

So the bill in Georgia looks like it will soon be passed and it now will go to cities and counties. I continue to believe that this is not a government issue other than the tax part which we know they will always get their hands on the money. The real shame here is that the wrong people will be out at polling locations to support or tear down this proposal. The Christian Coalition has stated they will be in local areas, but conceded that faith will allow them to understand it will be voted for in metro Atlanta, so they will not spend their time and energy in those areas.

Under state election law, questions can only be put to voters on certain dates. The next chance to do so is November 8th. Which is perfect, because no action could have taken place before November regardless.

Like I said before no one else should make the decision on what day an individual can buy alcohol, it is a privledge once you reach a certain age and that is it, after that buy at your leisure.

I Thought We Took Sports Too Seriously......

Came across this story the other day and had to immediately dig into it to see what the hell happened. In the Siberian city of Tyumen a man was killed discussing who was better, Mike Tyson or the Klitschko brothers. One of the guys argued that Tyson was better and the other man accused the guy of lacking patriotism and stabbed him numerous times in the back. Another guy was there too and escaped with a few minor knife wounds, he ran home to his wife and called the police. Now I have had my fair share of arguments, some even heated, about Georgia, the Braves, Falcons, Cowboys, etc., but I can say with 100% certainty that it never would lead to something like this. Now if you don't like Texas, then stay away from me, period!

Shocker in the whole story is that alcohol was involved. Since we are far away from Tyumen with no fear of death, hopefully, who do you think would have won between either of the brothers or Tyson??

Money for Sauce.....Really??

So I was driving through McDonald's a few weekends and while waiting for my change, I noticed McDonald's had started to once again charge for extra sauces. Luckily I do not eat the McNuggets as I don't want to get a McSurprise when I bite in. However, this practice seems asinine. Mickey D's made $24.1 billion in 2010 and is estimated to make $26.2 billion in 2011. I can understand cutting it off somewhere, but there is not enough sauce in one packet to eat 6 nuggets or chicken fingers depending on where you go. The only place I can think of in our area we are asked to pay for extra sauces would be Zaxby's. My wife and I are definitely late night Taco Bell eaters from time to time on the weekends, but I would though my tacos in someone's face if they asked me to pay extra for extra mild & fire sauce.

McDonald's how about you add the money into the cost of the food and don't try to nickel and dime me for extra sauces, that way no one knows any better.

While digging for some pictures for this blog I ran across this and thought it was pretty funny. Remember the 911 McDonald's lady, here is the story to remind you. Don't tell her you don't have McNuggets!!
